    Governance Contract

    Owners

Every entity can have owners, and owners are intentionally flexible:

    • a person (e.g., "Jane Doe")
    • a role (e.g., "CFO")
    • a team (e.g., "Finance Data Team")

    In practice:

    • Business Owner: accountable for meaning ("what it means")
    • Implementation Owner: accountable for delivery ("where/how it's implemented")

Duodata uses Owners rather than "Persons" so you can avoid early HR-system integrations.

    Status workflow patterns

Statuses are customizable and represent the customer's real workflow. A common "default" pattern is:

    Draft → Proposed → Approved → Implemented → Obsolete

Duodata lets you define and order status values to match the organization.

    Releases

Releases group planned work. Releases typically contain metrics and slices (not reports).

    Change management patterns

Change management follows review, approval, and deprecation/obsolete workflows. The specific patterns are configurable per organization.
